This week, I began by making my blogger account and adjusting some of the features to suit where i was headed creatively.
I began by posting my Brief on the home page, to inform anyone visiting my page what the blog was going to be used for.
Week beginning 21st October 2013
This week marked the beginning of my preliminary task, on my blogger I posted what I needed to carry out for my preliminary task.
I started to carry out my preliminary task, my first preliminary task was to produce a flat pan for the front cover of a school magazine. Producing my flat plan was difficult because i had to research the conventions of a magazine so my work would seem like a magazine that was going to be published.
I eventually completed my flat plan and produced my front cover using Photoshop, which was difficult but my teacher showed the class and I how to use the software. After completing my preliminary task on Photoshop, I continue to do another part of the preliminary task which was to make a flat plan for a content page.
All in all this week was my most difficult week.
Week beginning 4th November 2013
This week is the week my preliminary task and my research had to be uploaded on to my blogger. For me this was difficult because at first I uploaded all my magazine analysis work but my pictures would not appear so I used the website slideshare.net which allowed me to upload all my work including pictures.
6th/7th of November
On these two days I was asked to make a questionnaire on surveymonkey.com, which was not too difficult but coming up with questions was hard
Week beginning 11th November 2013
This week I continued making a questionnaire on surveymonkey.com, to find out information on what my target audience wanted to see in the magazine and what they wanted the the magazine to look like. It started to become difficult because getting response from different types of people was a challenge.
Week beginning 18th November 2013
This week I started doing the analysis of my questionnaire and explaining the importance of the questions I had and stating why I chose specific questions, while showing the responses I received on pie charts.
Going through each question I realised that it was good to get feedback on what members of the public wanted to see, getting the feedback will insure that with in my magazine i have what is needed to ensure that a lot of people read my music magazine.
Week beginning 25th November 2013
This week was the week for my vox pops. I took a handful of questions and went out to film people answering them, i did this to get a few more responses on the questions that where important to me for example what they wanted to see more of in music magazines.
I began to edit my vox pops on Adobe Premier Pro CS6 which took a while but i slowly began to get the hang of it. I uploaded my video's on the blog and moved on to my next project.
Week beginning December 2nd 2013 This week I began by planning out what I wanted to accomplish. I started by having a one-to-one conversation with my media teacher and figuring out what was needed for my plan. Plan Regarding the plan I had to make flat pans for my front cover, contents page and double page spread
Week beginning 9th and Week beginning 16th December 2013 Over these two weeks I learnt how to edit photos using Adobe photoshop cc (64 bit), I learnt how to use the spot healing toool to remove spots. I also used the lasso tool to remove a piece of an image and replace it using the filling tool (content aware. I practised on different images which are shown on the basic skills using photoshop page.
Through out these two weeks I drew out my flat pans many times to get them perfect, it took me longer than I expected I them to take me but I am a perfectionist.
The flat pans where needed to show what I wanted to create and on the sides I gave a reason as to why I had certain things put in to the magazine.
Week beginning Wednesday 1st January
Today I looked at different magazines that are similar to the type of magazine I want to make.I particularly looked at the front covers of NME and Q(which are music magazine)
Week beginning 6th January 2014
This week I started taking photos for my magazine. At first I didn't know that for a magazine I needed to take the photo's portrait rather than landscape. The photos I took for my preliminary task where all taken landscape. For my final magazine I took them correctly.
Week beginning 13th
This week I started to edit my photos. On photoshop there where a number of things that I had to learn, such as : spot healing tool, the quick selection tool amongst other things. At first working on photoshop was difficult because I didnt know how to cut an image correctly (shown below).
Week beginning 20th January This week I started making my media product. I spent most of my week making the first draft for the magazine and getting feedback on the layout.
Week beginning 27th January
This week I continued to do work on my final production peices. By the end of the week I had completed the product and presented it to my teacher. All the skills I have learnt from making my media product where useful and I hope to continue using Adobe photoshop just so I can learn more skills.

2 weeks for my evalution up until Friday 14th February 2014
Through out these two weeks I will be evaluating my work and anwering questions regarding it.
